Auditions for BRIGHT STAR at the STAGE Theater

The STAGE Theater is pleased to announce auditions for BRIGHT STAR.

Inspired by true events and featuring a Grammy-nominated score, BRIGHT STAR tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and ‘40s Blue Ridge Mountains.

When literary editor Alice Murphy meets a young soldier just home from World War II, he awakens her longing for the child she once lost. Haunted by their unique connection, Alice sets out on a journey to understand her past – and what she finds has the power to transform both of their lives. The story unfolds as a rich tapestry of deep emotion, beautiful melodies and powerful storytelling.

With book by Steve Martin, lyrics by Edie Brickell, and music by Edie Brickell & Steve Martin, BRIGHT STAR is directed by Robert Wamsley, with music direction by Kristen Works, choreography by Jenna Richter-Nasif, and will feature a large ensemble cast.

Auditions will be held at The STAGE Theater on Monday September 23 with 6PM & 7PM time-slots and Tuesday September 24 with 7PM & 8PM time-slots. Callbacks (if needed) will be held Thursday September 26 (TIME TBA).
