Audition Notice: Miracle on 34th Street at Olde Glory Theatre September 25-26

Audition Dates: September 25 & 26 @ 2PM or by appointment. Olde Glory Theatre, 348 Jackson Ave, Seward.

Rehearsals: 6-8PM, Monday-Thursday starting October 4th (Not all roles required at all rehearsals).

Performance Dates: December 8-12, Wed-Thur-Fri @7, Sat @ 7:15PM, Sun @ 2PM.

Miracle on 34th Street, Adapted by Mountain Community Theater from the novel by Valentine Davies. Based upon the Twentieth Century Fox motion picture Miracle on 34th Street. Produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

A Comedy/Drama of what Christmas should be about. Kris Kringle, a retirement home resident, gets a job working as Santa for Macy’s Department Store. Kris unleashes a wave of goodwill with customers by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child asked for. Seen as deluded by Macy’s vocational counselor, the counselor plots to have Kris committed to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital. In a court competency hearing, Kris is found to be the true Santa, allowing countless children to experience the joy of a childhood fantasy.
