Beauty and The Beast Come to Pinewood Bowl

Pinewood Bowl, Inc., one of Lincoln’s premiere musical theatre organizations, is pleased to present this year’s summer production of Disney’s Beauty & the Beast. Under the direction of Mayor’s Arts Award-winner Courtney Piccoli and the musical direction of Bill Maltas, the production will be performed nightly July 11-14 and July 18-21, 2019, at the Pinewood Bowl Amphitheatre in Lincoln’s Pioneers Park.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end, and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

This “tale as old as time” is filled with spectacular costume and set design and offers a great opportunity to bring the entire community together for family theatre at its best. A Parade of Royalty will be held at 7:00 p.m. each night allowing children in costume or out of costume to march around the perimeter of the bowl escorted by cast members.

Tickets are available at all Lincoln Russ’s Market locations for $13 for adults (ages 13 and older) with discounted $5 tickets for children ages 5 to 12. Present your Russ’s Community Rewards Card and save one dollar on each adult ticket purchased. Tickets will also be available online at Lincoln, NE | Live Theater | Pinewood Bowl, Inc. Online tickets are $13 for adults, $6 for children 5 to 12, plus convenience fees. Children four and under are free. At the gate, tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for children 5 to 12 and free for children four and under.
