Hop in your treehouse and get ready for the trip of your life! Theatre Arts for Kids is proud to announce our upcoming production of Dinosaurs Before Dark, a timeless tale based on the Magic Tree House children’s book series.
The story starts with Jack and Annie, two kids with very active imaginations and a mighty treehouse in their backyard. One day when playing in the treehouse they suddenly find themselves transported to another time. The time of the dinosaurs! What can they do? They are faced with dinos of all shapes and sizes, and murderous T-Rex are looming around every corner. Can Jack and Annie find a way to get the treehouse back to their own time, or will they become dinner for the dinos?
As always, the kids in this production are working their hardest to put on the most professional and high-quality show they can. There will be full costumes, set, and technical effects; you will feel like you are back in dinosaur times right with them!
But these kids are more than music-loving dinosaurs, they are also philanthropists-in-training. The TAFK Kiwanis Builders Club will be back at it again with another community project in combination with this production. As suggested by TAFK student Brea McClintock, we will be collecting money and supplies for new mothers who need a helping hand in providing for their babies. Bottles, clothing, diapers, wipes, toys, and a plethora of other goods will be collected and hand-delivered by the Builders Club officers to the Crisis Pregnancy Center at the end of the production.
