Lincoln Community Playhouse will hold auditions for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Monday, February 24th and Wednesday, February 26th. This is the original script based on the historic 1958 television event starring Julie Andrews.
Roles are available for 6 female identifying actors and 5 male identifying actors, plus an ensemble. Auditionees for these roles must be at least 15 years old by auditions, and can sign up for an audition time starting at 7:00 p.m.
There will also be a youth ensemble for ages 9-14 years old. Interested auditionees can register for the 6:00p slot on either date. (Family members can audition at 6:00 p.m. with them.)
Callbacks will be Sunday, March 2nd at 7:00p. Performances are May 2-4, 9-11.
Please prepare a 32-measure solo from a Golden Age classical musical (not Cinderella), such as the work of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, or Frank Loesser. An accompanist will be provided. Auditionees may be asked to learn a movement combination and read from the script.
Christine Cottam will direct with music direction by Bryson Cole, choreography by Kimberly Stutzman, stage management by Michelle Zinke, costume design by Maralee Maldavs, lighting design by Cassi Crain, tech direction by Jeff Maldavs, scenic design by Steven Kendall, and properties by Julie Enersen.
