Lincoln Community Playhouse will honor Playhouse Legends on Thursday, November 10th beginning at 6:30 p.m. with social hour and 7:30 p.m. for the ceremony in the Playhouse mainstage. The ceremony will feature reminiscences from friends and musical performances. Admission is free, but reservations should be made at lincolnplayhouse.com.
The 2022 Legends are: Margaret Minary. Margaret appeared on the Playhouse stage 18 times between 1980 and 2022. Her shows include Getting Out, The Little Foxes, Over the Tavern, The Grapes of Wrath, and TBD. Margaret served as our Playhouse historian and was instrumental in creating and organizing the History section on the Playhouse website.
Paul Pearson. Paul had 22 acting roles, 64 crew positions, and 12 directing credits at the Playhouse between 1981 and 2022. Show highlights include Deathtrap, Twelfth Night, and Mr. Scrooge. His
directing credits included The Rocky Horror Show, Steel Magnolias, and The Laramie Project. Paul specialized in makeup and hair designs.
Lee Schoonover. Lee performed in 51 Playhouse shows and had 124 crew credits. His Playhouse career ran from Two Blind Mice in 1957 to The Sisters Rosensweig in 1997. Other shows included leading roles in My Fair Lady, Same Time, Next Year, and 1776.
Sandy Van Pelt. Sandy appeared in 18 roles from 1967 to 2022. Her shows included 1776, Mame, Cinderella, King of Hearts, and Fiddler on the Roof. She taught youth classes in acting, audition technique, and Shakespeare and served on the Theatre Arts For Youth board. Sandy was a frequent performer at Playhouse special events.
