Lincoln Community Playhouse presents Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr. December 9-11 and 16-18. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $15 for all (ages 4 on up) and may be reserved at lincolnplayhouse.com or by calling the box office at 402-489-7529 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The musical features 30 youth actors.
Because of his shiny nose, Rudolph doesn’t feel like he belongs in Christmastown and sets off to find a place that accepts him. Along his journey, he encounters fellow misfits, only to realize that home is where he has belonged the whole time. When a storm threatens to keep Santa’s sleigh from taking flight, it’s up to Rudolph to save Christmas! Featuring favorite characters like Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, Clarice, and Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, this is an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special.
Morrie Enders directs with Shauna Shaefer as music director, Karen Freimund Wills as choreographer, Aaron Laudermith as scenic designer, Meg McCrina as costume designer, Kennedy Wilcher as lighting designer, and Lauren Spilinek as tech director.
