“Ordinary Days” auditions at Community Players

Community Players, in Beatrice, will hold auditions for the humorous musical, “Ordinary Days” on July 26 and 27 beginning at 7 p.m.  Auditions will be held at the Players Theater, 412 Ella Street, Beatrice.  

The show requires a cast of two men and two women. Auditions consist of singing a song of your choice (approximately two minutes) an accompanist will be provided.  This show is sung thru, so there will be no scene reading. Anyone interested in auditioning is encouraged to sign up for an audition slot online (beatricecommunityplayers.com/auditions).  The show will perform on Sept. 9-11, 16-18.

“Ordinary Days” follows four New Yorkers as they search for love, happiness, and a decent cab in this original musical for anyone who has ever struggled to appreciate the simple things in a complex place.  Community Players’ Managing Artistic Director, Jamie Ulmer, will direct the production.  Jan Malone is the music director.

Community Players auditions are open to anyone, and there is no charge to participate in the cast or crew of a regular season show.  Individuals interested in participating in a production crew, such as set painting, lights, set construction, costumes, or makeup are encouraged to contact the theater or fill out an online volunteer application form at the theater’s website.
